Before Your Appointment
For best results, let hair grow to about a quarter-inch (roughly 2 weeks) before your visit so the wax can grip properly. Avoid retinol, exfoliating products, or sun exposure on the area for a day or two beforehand, and skip waxing if you've recently used Accutane.
Aftercare & Skin Comfort
A little redness or sensitivity right after waxing is normal and usually settles within an hour or two. Avoid hot showers, tight clothing, sun exposure, and heavy lotions on the area for 24 hours, and start gentle exfoliation after a couple of days to help prevent ingrown hairs.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long should my hair be before waxing?
About a quarter-inch, which usually means 2 weeks of growth since your last wax or shave.
Does waxing hurt?
There's a quick pinch as hair is removed, but most clients find it very manageable, and it tends to feel less intense with regular sessions.
How often should I book waxing appointments?
Every 3–6 weeks depending on the area and how quickly your hair grows back.
Is waxing safe for sensitive skin?
We use a gentle, skin-conditioning wax suited to most skin types. Let us know about any sensitivities or skin conditions when you book.
Can I combine waxing with a facial or other treatment?
We'd generally recommend booking waxing and a facial on separate days since freshly waxed skin can be more sensitive right afterward.
